On December 5,
2014 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the
Evangelization of Peoples, appointed Rev. Father Giuseppe GIORDANO, of the
Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, as National Director of the Pontifical
Mission Societies in Guinea Bissau for a five-year period.
The new National Director was born 61 years ago in Italy. He was a missionary in Senegal since 1981, where he also served as National Director of the PMS from 1999 to 2011. He has been in Guinea Bissau since 2013, where he is parish priest in Farim, in the diocese of Bissau.
